TERMINAL EXERCISE 

1. Differentiate between communicable and non-communicable or life style diseases? 

Ans: 

Difference between communicable and non-communicable diseases:

Communicable diseases:

The communicable diseases are the disease which passes from one individual to another individual. They are caused by bacteria, viruses and another pathogen. This can be communicated by air, sharing clothes or even by sharing food.  

Non-communicable diseases:

There exist a non-communicable disease which cannot be transmitted via any medium into any other person. An example is an autoimmune disease like arthritis, thyroid, myopia, beriberi, nyctalopia. This disease is caused by either a shook up or a decrease in nutrients.

2.Shazia went to a fair and had food that was exposed to flies and dust. The next day she had vomiting, diarrhoea and cramps in her legs. What do these symptoms indicate? What steps will you take to manage the patient?

Ans:  Shazia might be suffering from food poisening the symptoms indicate that she is suffering from cholera or diarrhoea.We must take care of her by giving food that are rich in carbohydrates, proteins,vitamins . This could help her feel better.

3. Life style diseases impose financial burden and slow down progress of the nation. Why?

Ans: Lifestyle diseases are chronic diseases and main reason for the occurrence of these diseases is change in our healthy lifestyle.

Cancer is a type of lifestyle disease.

As these diseases are chronic the treatment is long term and even expensive.

So the treatment of these diseases are financial burden to people.

As people get financially weak and many are sick the development of the nation also decreases. 

4. Write a slogans for each of the following – 

a. Importance of safe drinking water. 

b. Promotion of physical activity.

Ans: WATER

Make every drop of water count .
A drop of water is worth more than a sack of gold to a thirsty man.
Conserve water conserve life .
