II. How is the reusing of waste beneficial? Explain.
Ans:Reusing of waste is beneficial as it will help to save our natural resources which are limited in quantity. The reuse of waste will reduce the pollution caused by burning it.

II. How is metal recycling different from plastic recycling? Explain. 
Ans:Metal recycling is cheaper to do and most beneficial. All of the metal is used up. Plastic recycling is difficult and lot of waste is thrown away.

III. In the first line of the last para, the word more is used twice. Make a sentence using more in a similar way. Eg. The more respect you give the more you get.
Ans:The more you work the more you earn.

III. In the sentence ‘Half the world’s waste consists of paper’, waste is used as a noun. Make a sentence using waste as a verb. e.g. If we waste time we can not get it back.
Ans: Wasting is a bad habit.

Ans:It is important to recycle waste. So that we can save environment. If we burn rubbish we save resources.

Ans:If we recycle the rubbish, we shall not burn the rubbish. This should not give out smoke and save us from  global warming.

3. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle shall be our motto. 
a. Explain why this should be our motto.
b. Give one example of each action in daily life.
Ans:Reduce:

This means that we should use the resources judiciously and check their misuse. We use less of the natural resources by cutting down on those practices which lead to their wastage. We should save electricity by switching off unnecessary lights and fans. We should save water by repairing leak taps. We can reduce the use of LPG by making use of solar cooker for cooking food.

Recycle:

Recycle means that we should collect the used and discarded plastic, paper, glass and metal items and recycle this material to make required things instead of synthesizing fresh plastic, paper, glass or metal.

Reuse:

This is even better than recycling because it save the energy which is spent at recycling a products no energy is required during reuse.We should use the same things again. For example envelopes can be used by reversing them
 
4. Think of an alternative title for the passage and justify it?
 Ans: Another  title can be'' Process to  beautify earth'' .

By this process, we can save earth  from being polluted  and reuse the things .

5. Imagine that no waste material is recycled. What would be the outcome? Write any three outcomes.
 Ans:a) If no  waste material is recycled  we would face 
These  problem  earth would become heap of rubbish. 
b)  we would burn rubbish  and make the atmosphere toxic.
c) The earth  would  become  dumping  ground.
